Detroit: Things to Do & Travel Review

-Recommended: Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle Park, Mangia restaurant, deals, Wyndham Garden Romulus (I wouldn’t pay more than about $50-$75 per night, and FYI the rooms had mini-fridges), day trips to the surrounding suburbs
-Not Recommended: Detroit Taco Factory truck, paying for parking (we always found free parking)
-Next Visit “To Do” List: Beacon Park, Motown Museum, cross bridge and visit Canada, The Heidelberg Project, The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant/Henry Ford Museum, Campus Martius Park, Milliken Harbor
-Overall, the city was nice, but I would mostly recommend it for short road trips, not longer trips or fly-in vacations. There were some highlights, but there were also some less appealing aspects. The city was laid out weird. A lot of things were shut down or construction was halted. It seemed like different races coexisted well in the city, but they didn’t seem very welcoming to commingling of races and biracial relationships.

Detroit Trips and Updates

I took a trip to Detroit to see my family. I also wanted to share a little of the test footage I have shot. It’s not super great but its test footage so hey.

This is a collection from Detroit MI. I walked around on two nights there. Once in Corktown, and once along the Detroit River.
