01 - We are a year-round CSA providing over 100 households with vegetables, milk, yogurt, and eggs.  We have 5.5 acres of vegetables and have fourteen milk cows, as well as young stock and 120 chickens.

Work on the farm includes planting, harvesting and weeding, using biodynamic principles, as well as milking, moving cows to pasture, making yogurt and haying.

We need two apprentices in the gardens from mid-April through the end of October and one dairy apprentice any time from May through September.

We provide a room, farm produce, a $500/month stipend, and worker’s compensation.

We offer the opportunity to learn about biodynamic and locally supported agriculture and there are many recreational possibilities in the area, especially if you connect with some of our farm members.

02 - This is a non-profit summer family camp and conference center.  We are an international, interracial, multicultural, intergenerational retreat center providing progressive political educational programming for adults and a growing children’s fellowship.  It is located in the White Mountains in the shadow of Mt. Chocorua.  We grow a variety of mixed vegetables to complement the needs of our kitchen and dining hall.  We have a ¼ acre of raised bed gardens with water convenient for the gardens.

We are currently seeking one gardener assistant for the 2008 summer season.  The ideal gardener will be self-directed, energetic, flexible and responsible, with some gardening experience preferred, and available June 1st – September 15th.

We offer full room and board, $140/week, one day off per week, and a lot of appreciation from satisfied cooks, staff and guests.

The gardener assistant will work alongside the head gardener, who will share her eight years of market gardening experience.  The different areas the assistant will be working in are planting, seeding, watering, harvesting, and understanding how to plan for crop rotation and successive planting.  Also, there may be times during the season when this person may be asked to help in other departments.

This farm provides a dynamic social and educational atmosphere on site: our 455 acres abut the White Mountain National Forest.  Right out the front door are miles of hiking trails, a pond that is in walking distance for swimming and boating, and bikes are available for mountain biking or road riding.  We are located seven miles south of Conway.
